Davanti renews AIA Racing School partnership
Monday 12th January 2026Davanti Tyres has extended its partnership with the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve (AIA) Racing School in Portimão, Portugal, for another three years.
The agreement – first established in 2017 – allows Davanti access to AIA’s fleet of Racing School cars – to which Davanti’s Protoura Sport tyres are fitted – and its instructors. With Mercedes-AMG as the Official vehicle Partner to the AIA Racing School, the Protoura Sport is the tyre of choice for their extensive fleet, which includes the AMG GT 63, C45 S and A45 S models.
Throughout the 8 year partnership, AIA has given Davanti a unique opportunity to gain frequent feedback on its flagship ultra-high performance tyre, Protoura Sport, from driving professionals using the track. This invaluable feedback has also led to the development of Davanti’s first track tyre Protoura Race at the school, utilising the team’s expert knowledge to push the product to its limits.
The extended partnership allows Davanti to host activities on the Racing School’s Gold Course – which features a series of challenging driving exercises designed to improve agility and vehicle control. Now, Davanti’s customers from around the world can experience the true capability of the Protoura Sport tyres in an exhilarating branded track experience.
As one of the most technically challenging race circuits in the world which plays host to the European LeMans Series and the FIM World Superbike Championship, the racing school has recently announced it will host Formula 1 in the 2027 and 2028 seasons, making it an exciting time for the partnership to continue.
AIA Racing School Director, Miguel Praia, said:
“Our drivers are highly qualified professionals and they understand the importance of tyres as a safety feature. They have developed complete confidence in Davanti since we began this partnership, as tyres that handle well and provide all the feedback and control you need to drive safely and well. We are proud to partner with Davanti Tyres.”
Sean Maddocks, Davanti Tyres sales director for the UK & Ireland, said:
“The AIA is one of our longest running partnerships, and over the years it has given us invaluable live feedback on our products which has undoubtedly contributed to the quality and the capability of the Protoura Sport tyre today.
“It has also allowed us to demonstrate the tyre to our valued customers in an exciting, premium track experience which has helped strengthen relationships and cement the product as a competitive player in the market.
“With the circuit also announcing its partnership with Formula 1 in the 2027 and 2028 seasons, it shows that as a racing venue, it really is one of the most renowned in the world.”
