Gumiflex donate Wintoura tyres to Hungary’s National Ambulance Service
Tuesday 1st December 2020As winter aproaches Davanti’s Hungarian distribution partners Gumiflex Kft have generously donated 1 million forints (over £2,500) of Wintoura tyres to the National Ambulance Service.
Supporting health service keyworkers has been a common global theme throughout the Covid pandemic and this donation to the Országos Mentőszolgálat (OMSZ) Foundation – which operates Hungary’s nationwide ambulance service – will help ambulances to operate more safely and effectively as the temperature drops and vulnerable people require more medical assistance.
“In recent months, the biggest burden has been borne by healthcare and particularly the OMSZ as the Covid pandemic has placed incredible strain on health services,” said Márton Jaczó.
“We really appreciate the heroic efforts of our paramedics. It seems like they are asked to do the extraordinary everyday and we wanted to give them practical support.
“That is why we decided to provide them with Davanti Wintoura tyres. We consider it our mission to raise awareness of driving safety. Ambulances in particular have a critical need for reliable traction in the winter, as these vehicles are much more at risk of sudden braking.”
